BOCCONI SPORT TALENT

Bocconi Sport Talent starting from the a.y. 2026/2027

 

Aid recipients

Student athletes who are regularly enrolled in Bachelor, Master or Specialized Master degree programs, who play competitive sports and participate in national or international competitions. 

In particular for:

  • athletes who play team sports:
    • participation in the first two series of the professional or amateur federal championship (FSN/CONI);
    • call-up to a national team (FSN/CONI or FSP-FSNP/CIP), including youth teams, in the 12 months prior to the submission of the application,
       
  • athletes who play individual sports:
    • participation in an absolute championship in the 12 months prior to the submission of the application;
    • call-up to a national team (including youth) to participate in an international sporting event in the last 12 months.

Recognized sporting activities include:

  • sports governed by the National Sports Federations and Associated Sports Disciplines of CONI, CIP, and IOC;
  • international competitions (World Championships, Olympics/Paralympics, World Cup, Universiade, World University Championships);
  • team training sessions in preparation for the above competitions.

 

Support services provided 

Athletes selected for the Bocconi Sport Talent financial aid program will be entitled to the following benefits:

  • tuition and fees waiver (between 60% and 100% depending on the confirmed economic and financial situation)
  • assignment of accommodation at a reduced rate equal to 50% of the full rate price or the possibility of priority access to the Bocconi University Residences at a reduced rate
  • meetups with other recipient athletes
  • dedicated administrative guidance regarding:
    • lecture attendance
    • information on exam sessions and the possibility of taking exams remotely
    • possible pause of university studies during major sporting events (e.g. Olympics/Paralympics, World Championships outside the Olympic program)
    • mention of the sporting activity in the Diploma Supplement
  • free use of the fitness area in the Team Sport Arena, with assigned physical trainers
  • free access to services offered by the Bocconi Sport Center

It should also be noted that, starting with the 2026-2027 cohort, the regulations governing each degree program will include specific guidelines for the recognition of credits and additional points toward graduation in the event of medals ceremonies taking place in major national and international competitions.

The aforementioned support services are consistent with the provisions of the national legislation on Dual Career.

 

Enrollment and admission

Admission to "Bocconi Sport Talent" is possible upon submission of a request to the specificBocconi Sport Talents Scholarshipscall for applications within the "Bocconi4Access to Education" program.

 

Necessary Documentation

In addition to the provisions of the “Bocconi Sport Talents Scholarships” call, for the purpose of evaluating the application, candidates will be required to submit the following documents by email to (funding@unibocconi.it. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the selection process:

  • CV of student’s athletic career, including a description of sport played or presentation highlights
  • scan of federation membership card
  • statement issued by the student's sports team

 

When to apply

The rounds indicated below for the request of sports-related aid refer to all categories of admitted students (Bachelor, Master and Specialized Master degree programs), regardless of the specific admission round.

(*) applications received during the winter session will be evaluated together with those from the spring session.

 

Allocation criteria and communication of results 

The selection of deserving candidates will be carried out by a specific Subcommittee, appointed within the University’s Scholarship Committee, which meets to evaluate student athlete applications.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of available scholarships, the possibility of including athletes in the Sport Talent program without the benefit will be considered.
