Our team has done the debut in official competitions during the National University Rowing Championships in Sabaudia.

The weekend saw our athletes race very well and take home 5 bronze medals, over different distances: in the 500m, men's single medal for Mario Guareschi and third place also for the 4 pair made up of Guareschi, Skojo, Taddia, Piludu.

On the 2000m distance (Olympic distance) Guareschi won a bronze in the 2x specialty (paired with Elia Simonetta) and also in the single Lightweight. Finally, also in the 2000m, a beautiful bronze of 4x Taddia / Skojo / Piludu with Mazzucchelli overhead, in a race fought until the end that saw us close to second place, vanished for a few metres.

Special mention for our athlete Edoardo Della Valle who, although he started only a few months ago, went one step away from the medal in the 2x team with Piludu on 500m.

Very satisfied at the end of the races Professor Vincenzo Baglieri, head of the Bocconi Rowing Team: "We went beyond all expectations. We were hoping for at least one medal and five arrived. All bronzes, unfortunately, but they are the signal we expected. It can be done much better and this team is a good base on which to start. Special thanks to Coach Scrocchi, who has shown once again that he is a fine connoisseur of rowing and of the potential of athletes and who, thanks to his choices, has allowed us to bring home further satisfactions.”
