The 2025-26 season continues to bring outstanding results for the Bocconi Sport Team swimming program, with strong performances across regional competitions.
At the Regional Championships, Bocconi swimmers collected several podium finishes. Giovanni Garetto claimed gold in the 50m freestyle, while Alessandro De Falco finished fourth in the same event. The 100m freestyle brought another excellent result, with Garetto winning silver and De Falco taking bronze.
Matteo Rodella once again confirmed himself among the top breaststroke specialists, winning gold in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 50m event. The day concluded with another victory for Bocconi as Giovanni Garetto, Alessandro De Falco, Riccardo Petralia, and Matteo Rodella claimed gold in the men's 4×50m freestyle relay.
Last weekend, the team also delivered outstanding performances at the Regional Summer Championships in Lodi. Representing Bocconi Sport Team were Giovanni Garetto, Matteo Rodella, Riccardo Saita, and Alessandro De Falco.
Matteo Rodella was crowned Regional Champion in the 200m breaststroke, successfully defending the title he had already won at the Winter Regional Championships, while also finishing as Regional runner-up in the 100m breaststroke.
Giovanni Garetto added two silver medals in the 50m and 100m freestyle, setting new personal bests in both races.
Another highlight came from the men's 4×100m freestyle relay, where Garetto, Rodella, De Falco, and Saita produced a remarkable comeback to secure the regional silver medal.
More than the medals themselves, the season reflects the steady growth of a group that continues to improve year after year. Through dedication, daily hard work, and strong team spirit, Bocconi swimmers have consistently competed at a high level and are now ready for the final challenge of the season: the Italian National Championships in Rome.
